Food Recall: Herb Ox Beef Bouillon

Creative Contract Packaging LLC is voluntarily recalling 4,412 cases, or 13,236 total pounds, of two code dates of HERB-OX® Beef Flavor Granulated Bouillon, due to the potential presence of an undeclared milk allergen.

Consumers who are allergic to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Trader Joe’s Chicken & Turkey Salad Recall

Green Cuisine, a San Fernando, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 36,854 pounds of chicken and turkey salad products that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically hard silica and glass fragments, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The ready-to-eat chicken and turkey salads were produced from Nov. 4 - 15, 2017. The following products are subject to recall:

Tres Lain Foods recalls Pupusas due to Unlisted Milk Ingredient

Tres Latin Foods is voluntarily recalling two batches of production of Kale & Pinto Bean 10 oz. pupusas and one batch of its Black Bean & Sweet Corn pupusas due to an undeclared milk allergen. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. There have been no reports of illness to date. Silver Spring Foods, Inc. is voluntarily recalling Waterfront Bistro Tartar Sauce because there is a chance an incorrect back label was attached to the bottle, which does not correctly identify ingredients that could pose an allergen risk; specifically, egg.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

No illnesses or consumer complaints have been reported to date.

This product is sold in Albertson's and Safeway stores in Arizona.

Yes, Flu Season is a Thing.

With flu season right around the corner, U.S. health officials are urging everyone to get their flu shot now so they'll be protected from the potentially serious complications of influenza. Yavapai County Community Health Services has received their shipments of the ’17-’18 flu vaccine – and they are ready to schedule appointments now. The flu season for 2017-2018 is expected to run from October 2017 through May 2018 with the peak four-month period being December through March.

RECALL: San Francisco Seafood Salad made with Greek Yogurt

Simply Fresh Foods, Inc. of Buena Park, CA is recalling 272 cases of one specific lot of its 4-4 ounce packages of "San Francisco Seafood Salad Made with Greek Yogurt" bearing a UPC bar code of 47502 19701 because the individual cups inside the carton may be mislabeled as Seafood Salad with Real Mayonnaise and does not declare "milk". The outer carton is correct and has the correct ingredient statement which declares "milk". People who have allergies to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. Read more
