How does a pool become licensed?

All proposed public and semipublic swimming pools must undergo plan review. In Yavapai County, this is the Environmental Unit of the Development Services Department. Once Development Services has issued an approval, and construction is completed, the applicant should call Development Services and Community Health Services-Environmental Health Unit. Both agencies need to be present to conduct construction evaluations and to assist with the license application paperwork.
