Gladiator Fire – Evacuations

The Gladiator fire has continued to move in the direction of Pine Flats. The Incident Management Team (IMT) in conjunction with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office has ordered additional mandatory evacuations in the area of Pine Flats, effective at 5:00 pm Friday 5/18/2012. 

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s department is asking everyone evacuated to report to the American Red Cross Reception and Care Center located at the Mayer Elementary School, 12606 E Main St., Mayer.

If you cannot evacuate please contact the Yavapai County Sheriff’s office at 928-771-3260.

Please only use this number if you need help evacuating.

If relocating, only bring essential items with you. They should include important papers, money, a change of clothes, special medications, toilet articles, sanitary supplies, and diapers, if you have children.

 If no other sheltering option exists and you must move guests, passengers, etc., to a public evacuation shelter, advise evacuees that they may bring pets, but not alcoholic beverages, firearms, or narcotics with them. They are prohibited in the shelters. Food, water, blankets, and other necessities will be provided by the American Red Cross.

 Pets can be taken to the Animal Disaster Services at the Mayer High School, 17300 E Mule Deer, Mayer.
